For the Drugged and Disordered project, our main objective was to learn of the causes, effects, symptoms, and nature of disorders, and/or the drugs used for them. Each group in Ms. Lyman´s team came up with an exhibition involving an interactive activity based on a certain drug that each group studied. My group´s drug was Birth Control and its many varieties.
I was really proud, ultimately, of the contributions I made to the exhibition, as well as how it turned out as a whole. I came up with a lot of the ideas and the planning involved before the exhibition took place, like planning and making the Kahoot, contributing to my part of the research, laser cutting and building the signs, and developing a fun, interactive game with an obstacle course and props.
Some things that may have gone slightly different could have been been the way we gave the exhibition audience information on the different methods of birth control, although I still thought it went smoothly. Before giving each group information, we told them that we would give them sixty seconds to study, and that we would help them with the studying , but they´d take a test afterward to asses them. I thought this was a challenging and fun aspect of our exhibition, but thought that maybe the obstacle course could have gone better (ex: not have had the giant stuffed anatomy). Otherwise, everything was planned well and tied together nicely. My group did well presenting to the audience, and every activity went generally smoothly.
