What grade do you think you got on the midterm?
In the best scenario, I would say that I got a B plus. I missed a lot of conjugation charts, mainly the ones with irregular verbs. I'm still not entirely confident in my ability to conjugate, but am more confident with regular verbs, and I have all the forms memorized, so I feel like I might have at least done well with those.
What went well?
For me, knowing basic phrases and words went relatively well. I have a basic vocabulary that allowed me to get by on the section of the test that asked me to translate simple words/phrases. I also did well with memorizing the different forms and conjugating regular verbs.
What didn't go well?
Something that definitely decreased my confidence level on the midterm was when we were given irregular verbs (ir, to site an example) and had to conjugate. This is just something that needs to be memorized, and I wasn't quite there when we took the midterm.
How much do you practice at home?
At home, I practice when I need to. Outside of the house, when I hear or see a simple phrase, I usually make a little attempt to translate it into Spanish for no real reason. I don't usually make a conscious effort to practice at home, but this could be changed if I were to give myself more structured practice methods, or even if we were given homework to do. I'm not the best at motivating myself outside of the classroom, but I can see a lot of areas of possible improvement, and would like to start improving, even if it means putting in additional effort.
